Introduction: The aim of our study was evaluation of patients primary qualified for complete revascularization, but due to intensive atherosclerotic changes in coronary vessels only incomplete revascularization was carried out. Materials and methods: Ten patients were included to the research. Mean age was 63±3.4 years. Mean BMI, BSA and EF were 26.1±3.4, 1.83±0.17, and 51.5%±7.2 respectively. All patients preoperative coronary angiography were carried out. Results: Only five patients were qualified for surgical heart revascularization, in this group two were operated with off-pump technique. In order to receive the best results of operation two patients were subjected to angioplasty with stent. Five remaining patients were qualified for angioplasty in order to protection of the most significant, possible to supply, pathological changes in coronary arteries. In all cases good effect of the operation was obtained. In all examined patients we ascertained the improvement haemodynamic parameters of heart (EF; p <0.05). Conclusions: The aim of the treatment of patients with intensive atherosclerotic changes in coronary vessels is as effective as possible improvement of heart perfusion. In order to achieve that surgical techniques and methods of invasive cardiology often should be combined. Weascertained that incompletere vascularizations ignificantly improves haemodynamic parameters of heart. (Clin. Exp. Med. Lett. 2006; 47(1):67-70)
