Left limb thrombectomy following coronary revascularization

We present the case report about the 76 year old patient who was referred to cardiology team and after angiography he developed symptoms of the upper hand ischemia. The patient had the coronary artery bypass grafting due to ischemic heart disease and after the surgery he had the thrombus removed from left arm by vascular team. We discuss the most frequent mechanisms of vessel injury following angiography performed from radial artery acces such as , arteriovenous fistula formation, brachial artery dissection, brachial artery perforation, and pseudoaneurysm formation . This is example of proper and quick cooperation between vascular surgeons and cardiac surgeons. (Clin Exp Med Lett 2009; 50(1)59-60)
