Coronary artery bypass grafting after radical cystectomy due to bladder cancer – a case report

Background:    Radical cystectomy is a standard treatment for invasive urothelial carcinoma. Old age is a major risk factor for both bladder cancer and coronary disease. The range of cardiac complications after cystectomy is 1.4% up to 7.5%.
    Case Report:    We report the case of a 70- year-old patient with coronary artery disease who underwent coronary artery bypass surgery, with history of radical cystectomy due to bladder cancer.
    Conclusions:    We decided to describe the case history of our patient to indicate the lack of research on patients who develop cardiac events after radical cystectomy, which are important postoperative complications.
